Differences between the Netherlands and South Africa

The South African Ezra Ndwandwe wrote a business report about the differences between the Dutch economy and that of South Africa. She wondered why many more Dutch companies will invade in international markets soon and what makes the Dutch economy successful compared to South Africa.

 

There are three important lessons that South Africans can learn from the Dutch that could contribute towards changing the economic landscape through innovation and entrepreneurship:

 

1. The Dutch work ethic is second to none, because they take their work seriously enough and know the difference between work and play.
2. There is a culture of innovation in the Netherlands.
3. There is a culture of cooperation.
