SANEC enters the Arabian Gulf

Southern-Eastern Africa is fast emerging as one of the most important markets for the Arabian Gulf, mostly consisting of the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC), an economic alliance of six Middle Eastern countries (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates). The Arabian Gulf has been quick to recognise the immense potential in the emerging markets of Africa and is working diligently to penetrate new markets within the Southern-Eastern African continent. The Arabian Gulf has emerged as a hub for investment into and from Southern-Eastern Africa.

The growing opportunities between the Arabian Gulf and Southern Africa in combination with requests from our members and other stakeholders, have stimulated SANEC to expand its business abroad. The SANEC EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Group focuses on the six GCC countries, enabling members to connect their bilateral business of Western Europe and Southern Africa with the Arabian Gulf. SANEC is the key facilitator when it comes to a wide range of professional services that empower companies, entrepreneurs, partners, institutions and other trade related organisations to successfully import, export and invest between the Benelux and Southern Africa (SADC region). 2017 introduces the Arabian Gulf as an additional business opportunity that  benefits SANEC members.

Mark Agterdenbosch, General Manager SANEC in the Netherlands:

“The Arabian Gulf recognizes Southern Africa as a unique market and is paving the way to drive investment from all over the world to the Southern-Eastern African region and beyond by positioning itself as the fundamental hub for trade into and from the region. The Gulf states are committed to strengthening their ties with Southern-Eastern African countries.”

SANEC introduces Spreekdagen focusing on the Arabian Gulf in March and GCC country specific seminars in the first 6 months of 2017.

More and more SANEC members have already entered the Gulf Region and have experienced the lucrative opportunities that exist in the Arabian Gulf.
